I have replaced the offending crosshair in my 15X Ultravarmint. Good luck.Īdding an update to my crosshair adventures. I had a scope repair done as such and it's well over three years and still going strong. It is interesting to note that some places are now using an adhesive (Super Glue?) to mount the reticle wires instead of using the little bitty screws in the scope. I don't know if Dan is still doing reticle repair or if he even is still selling the wire, but it's worth a shot. The job was relatively cheap at the time and he did a perfect job. I contacted Dan and he suggested that I just send him the scope and he would take care of it. I was just never able to string the wire on the scope I was working and on and have it come out perfect. Several years back when I was more adventurous I contacted Dan and bought reticle wire from him in the two sizes listed. Uncertain on the wire diameter, I suggest you go with the 0.0015", but ask Dan for It shows up jet black and is easy to work with. Several lifetimes or many attempts to get it right. Writing the price is $15.00 per 10 ft length, which should last the average shooter Sells wire in two diameters (0.0015" medium and 0.0005" fine).
